Repairs
It's true! Necessity is the Mother of Invention...We do an impressive amount of set-up and repair work in-house. And were expanding our services quickly, as our business grows. We do feel that honesty is the best policy, and will gladly refer you to other shops, if you've got a major restoration of, for example, a three-hundred-year-old Italian instrument!
Here is a short list of all of the things that we are doing on a regular basis these days:
- glue open seams and many cracks
- install new endpins (featuring ULSA, imported directly from the factory in Schwabmünchen, Germany)
- set-up of new instruments
- install aileron-cable tailgut
- dress fingerboards
- make appraisals
- change strings
- bridge and nut height adjustments
- soundpost adjustments; cutting new soundposts
We're still "Real Bass Nerds" here – if you want to call to chat about your instrument's condition, we always welcome "Shop Talk."
